Solana Mobile to Airdrop 1.96B SKR to Users and Developers
Solana Mobile will distribute nearly 2 billion Seeker (SKR) tokens in its first airdrop on Jan. 21, allocating 1,819,755,000 SKR to 100,908 users and 141,030,000 SKR to 188 developers, the company said in a post on X.
The company added that an allocation tracker is live and recipients can check their Seed Vault Wallets to view expected distributions ahead of the Jan. 21 claim window.
The airdrop represents 20% of SKR’s total supply of 10 billion. SKR serves as the native token of the Solana mobile ecosystem. The distribution is linked to Solana Mobile’s second-generation Seeker phone, which began shipping in August 2025 and is priced at around $500.
Staking will open immediately after claiming at 2:00 a.m. UTC on Jan. 21. According to Solana Mobile, users can stake directly to Guardians via the Seed Vault Wallet or use the SKR Staking web interface.
User allocations tied to Seeker phone ownership are organized into tiers—Scout, Prospector, Vanguard, Luminary and Sovereign—with the Sovereign tier receiving 750,000 SKR per user.
Distribution amounts are based on engagement with the Seeker device, activity in the Solana decentralized app store, and on-chain participation during season 1.
Prior to launch, Solana Mobile reported more than 150,000 pre-orders for Seeker. Recent figures indicate 109,000 users are eligible for the airdrop, below the initial pre-order total. Unlike the first-generation Saga, Seeker has been positioned with an emphasis on underlying infrastructure and a more active dApp store.
